Pastor Shell and Missy Osbon Lead Pastor

Shell has been married to Missy since 1986 and they reside in Marietta, GA. They have one son (SJ), one daughter-in-love (Tina), two grandsons (Cooper & Maddox) and one daughter (Summer Joy). In addition to his family life and pastoral duties, Shell has been privileged to serve the following organizations in various roles: Georgia District of the Assemblies of God, Beulah Heights University, Smyrna Public Safety Foundation, SuperSmyrna, First Priority Ministries, Steering Committee for the City of Smyrna’s Vision for the Community, Smyrna Citizen Corp Council as well as chaplain for the Smyrna Fire Department and the Smyrna Police Department.

Pastor Dyke and Glenda VerkerkSenior Associate Pastor

Dyke and Glenda met at Southwestern Assemblies of God University and were married in 1974. They are blessed with a daughter, Lindsey, a son, Landon, a daughter-in-law, Ali, and three awesome grand kids, Halle, Keenon and Anchour. Full-time ministry has been their life since 1980. Dyke’s calling, to provide ministry support to the lead pastor, has provided him an array of ministry experience including music ministry, youth ministry, and business administration. Dyke currently serves as Senior Associate Pastor, giving oversight to various areas including pastoral care ministries, facilities management, and financial office administration.

SJ and Tina Osbon Media Director & Preschool Ministry Coordinator

SJ leads the Media Ministries, and Tina is the Preschool Ministry Director. These college sweethearts married in 2012. Having lived in Smyrna since their wedding, SJ and Tina have a true heart for this city and how God is using Life Church to impact more than just the people who fill the church building each week. They enjoy spending their spare time camping, cheering on their favorite teams (the Atlanta Braves, LSU Tigers, and New Orleans Saints), and chasing their two adorable sons, Cooper & Maddox!

Pastor Christian and Amanda Salzillo Missions Pastor/Discipleship Pastor/Worship Leader

Christian and Amanda met in Griffin, Georgia, and were married in 2003. They are the parents to four kids – Noah, Caleb, Abigail, and Elizabeth. Christian attended South Atlanta Master’s Commission and later graduated from Southeastern University. Christian first joined the team in 2011, serving as our Pastor of Student Ministries. After a transition in 2016, he began leading our Discipleship and Outreach ministries. Now he also oversees our missions ministry, which includes over 75 missionaries, and he is our Sunday morning worship leader.

Milton and Holly Thorogood Receptionist & Administrative Assistant

Holly Thorogood is an administrative assistant & the receptionist at Life Church Smyrna. She has been a member of the administrative team for 11 years. Holly has been married to Milton for 37 years and they have loved being members of the Life Church family since 1988. Milton serves as head usher and as a member of the official board. They have two amazing adult children, Charles who lives in Warner Robins, GA and Heather who resides in Jacksonville, FL. Both Charles & Heather have continued to be actively involved in serving the Lord in their respective churches.

Pastor Brian and Khaliyah Taylor NextGen Pastor

Pastor Brian and Khaliyah met in a youth group in Savannah, Ga. They instantly became best friends, then boyfriend and girlfriend, and then five years later, married. Pastor Brian and Khaliyah both attended Chapelhill College, an extension site of Southeastern University. Pastor Brian graduated last May with his Bachelor of Science degree in Ministerial Leadership. Khaliyah will graduate with the same degree next May. Pastor Brian enjoys going to Disney World and cheering on the Atlanta Falcons. Khaliyah enjoys running, and going to the park for picnics. Pastor Brian and Khaliyah are excited to see this generation of youth and young adults become hungry for all that God has for them.
